Club Nights & Training

Please arrive in plenty of time as we leave at 7:15 promptly.

On your first time out with us please arrive at 7.00pm to be greeted and to find the most appropriate group for you.

Winter Training​ (September to April)

The Winter evening training programme starts at Laindon Community Centre during the week, walking and running various routes around Basildon and the surrounding area. Groups are split into walking, run-walk, slow run, medium run and fast run to allow members to progress.

Tuesday Mornings 10:00am

Thorndon Park South, A128, Herongate (behind the Halfway House Pub)

Walking for about an hour followed (if one is inclined) by coffee and a chat, so a very sociable meeting. This is all on trails so might get a bit muddy!! Totally new exercisers really welcome.

Tuesday Evenings 7:15pm

Laindon Community Centre, High Rd SS15 6NX

Approximate run/walk time 1 hour. This offers an option of a recovery night for those who have raced over the weekend, a slow easy pace for beginners or if your feeling particularly energetic we do various rep, speed & hill work sessions.

Thursday Evenings 7:15pm

Laindon Community Centre, High Rd SS15 6NX

Approximate run/walk time 1 hour. This offers members a chance to cover 4-9 miles according to abilities and pace within each group.

Summer Training​ (May to August)

During the Summer months the club enjoys training in the surrounding country parks, walking and running through some of the best scenery South Essex has to offer making the most of the lighter evenings.

Approximate run/walk times 1 hour. This offers an option of a recovery night for those who have raced over the weekend, a slow easy pace for beginners or if your feeling particularly energetic we do various rep, speed & hill work sessions.

Saturday and Sunday Morning Runs 

These are not club runs they're ad-hoc runs arranged by individual club members and are normally advertised on the club Facebook page.
