THAMESIDE 10K & 5K RACES
We’re excited to confirm that the Thameside 10K & 5K races will take place on 24th May 2026.
Medals will be awarded to all participants, and trophies will be presented in the usual categories including most attended club.
We also have some great news about the 1K Kids Fun Run — with every adult entry into the 5K or 10K race, one child entry is free!
Participants must be at least 12 years old for the 5K and 16 years old for the 10K.
Please note that 1K Kids Fun Run sign-ups will be available on the day when you collect your race number.

THAMESIDE RACE EVENT
Every May, we host our annual race set against the stunning backdrop of the Essex Wildlife Trust Thameside Nature Discovery Park. The course is mostly flat with some gentle undulations, offering beautiful views of the River Thames and its surrounding wildlife — perfect for all abilities, including families and children.
Runners can choose between a 10K (two laps of the route) or a shorter 5K (a single loop around the nature reserve). All participants receive a bespoke wildlife-themed medal to celebrate their achievement.
Because we’re passionate about and care for the next generation of runners, we also host a 1K Kids’ Fun Run — where every young runner receives a medal for their efforts.
